American Football
Did y'all watch some football today? Because I sure as hell saw some football today. Jesus. What a game! I am guessing [info]q_sama is crestfallen and [info]bactaqueen is totally ecstatic. I rooted for you both, though! I was sort of surprised about OSU's Vince Young comments, but Texas always did talk some trash, so hey. What comes around...

And Georgia beat Steve Spurrier, so it's all good in my part of the world tonight. I am thinking we will be number 5 or 6 now and Texas will be number 1 or 2. WE ARE COMING FOR YOU, [info]bactaqueen!!!

Here's hoping that even the Aggies and Okies can't stop us this year.

Lol. Good luck wih the Okies. They shouldn't be too bad, though. Like USC, they have easy schedules so I won't be surprised at all if Texas runs rings around them come gameday.

I was hanging out in the cafeteria during a school dance at the time ... it was funny, because normally everybody would be in the gym, but because of the game, all the guys and a good number of girls were in the cafeteria, because that's where the TV was.

I'm not sure if I consider that "trash talk" exactly. I mean, every game's goal is to deprive the other team of what's making them win - and that's usually linked to Heisman candidacy. So, while Carpenter wasn't very friendly, I don't think he was being a complete jerk.

It was a good game. I'm still mad at Coach Tressel for putting Zwick in for the final plays. After last year's fiasco with Zwick, and his screwing up the first quarter of this game, I think that was a risky move (that wasn't worth it!).

No matter, I don't begrudge Texas the win at all. They played well, and Young was incredible. I just wish their band hadn't played "I've Been Working on the Railroad". >.< Painful!

I was rooting for Georgia all day!! ^__^ (between that and the Notre Dame/Michigan game, it was enough to keep OSU's performance from dampening my spirits!)

Well, I actually thought it was trash-talk until I heard anti-OSU commentators declare it perfectly natural. :P So I guess it can go either way. (tee-hee)

Poor Chrissy, indeed. While I enjoyed watching the team's defeat, I do feel bad for any part it played in making her weekend worse. :(
