Random Stuff of Unimportance
1. My sisters and I watched High School Musical 2 again this weekend, and OH MY GOD. It is a boundless source of entertainment. "Bet On It" is my favorite song, but the dance number just gets funnier and funnier the more times I watch it. It is so completely melodramatic and hilarious. We are talking Eye of the Tiger degrees of lameness. Oh, Zac Effron! THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL GIFT.

And I didn't notice this the first time, but I am pretty sure that Mr. Evans's many attempts to make Ryan wear all of his his fabulous hats straight are supposed to be a nudge-nudge-wink-wink joke about his 100% canonical gayness. I am totally the last to realize this, aren't I?!

2. We also all went to see Stardust, which I had already seen twice. (!!!) It was every bit as cute as I remembered. If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely go. It is greatness!

3. It is common knowledge that I consider my littlest sister to be made completely of awesome. I try to save some of the cuter notes she writes, and here we have an apology to my mom. (Kierra got sent to bed early for talking back; Mom found the note when she went upstairs to wake her up the next morning.) The second is a note to me and Heather. Kierra was acting a little funny, and when we asked her why, she said it was too sad to say and that she'd write it down instead. She wrote the note and gave it to Heather. Cute, but kind of morbid for someone who is only TEN WHOLE YEARS old, though.

4. In music news, I am reallyreallyreally hoping that Kanye's new CD will leak sometime soon. But in the meantime, I am enjoying the new Eisley album. Still no summer album.

1. I haven't seen HSM2 yet, but your posts make me wish I had. Have you seen Zac in "Hairspray" yet? He's very good; I was pleasantly surprised.

2. Stardust is one of my favorite movies, officially. I've seen it twice, and would go again anytime. It's just so clever, and original, and awesome. Plus, Tristan is gorgeous. *loves*

3. Your little sister is the definition of adorable.

	Oh, Stardust. It's so good. I like the book better (but that's usually the case), but it's just so, so good. I NEED to see it again, I just don't know when I'm going to have the time. (Reply to this)

I have been hearing good things about Stardust. I wonder, though, if it might be appropriate for Nai. She's 8, but she's also kind of scary. The rating says "risque humor" which she won't get (she didn't get any of it in Hairspray), but I'm more considered about the overall creepiness since she's kind of scary. Also, are there any big spiders in it? Because that'd be a big DON'T for her.

I'm not sure if I have seen the entirety of the "Bet On It" dance number, but we have listened to (most of) the soundtrack a few times. Honestly, though, I wasn't paying attention during the first go round of "Work It Out" either. Probably because I knew we would watch it a bazillion times.

Love "I Don't Dance"! Great song. Super gay.

I asked a friend before taking Kierra, too. There're aren't any big scary spiders or monsters or anything like that, but there is some non-gory violence. The witches slaughter two animals (it's all off screen, but it's still kind of gross) and you see them looking at what is supposed to be their organs or entrails for divination. The witches are after the star because they want to cut out her heart and eat it, which could be kind of scary in and of itself. At one point, someone gets their throat slit. (The blood looks like blue paint, but still.) There are a bunch of deaths, but they're not particularly scary. Really, all of the violence is really traditional fantasy violence, and it's more silly than gory.

I didn't really notice a lot of risque humor. I mean, there is a penis joke and the off-screen sex, but that should go *woosh* over Nai's head. And there are some empty threats involving the pirate crew and Claire Danes's character ("It's share and share alike aboard my ship," stuff like that), but is all pretty tame.

Love "I Don't Dance"! Great song. Super gay.

Ahahaha! It so is. That is my second favorite song and absolutely my favorite dance number. Although Sharpay's "You Are the Music in ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME" bit with all of the pyrotechnics is pretty fantastic, too.

	Heh, I love that Sharpay song. "I Don't Dance" totally sounds like Ryan is hitting on Chad, seriously. "How do you know if you don't try?" etc. Oh, and I love Chad's one line: "This is how I swing."
