I am probably the last to have seen this?
Okay, somebody please tell me who Veronica's partner in the spinoff preview (part 1, part 2) is? Because I know that I know him from stuff, and it is seriously wigging me out. (ETA: Okay, is it the artist boyfriend from the "Girl Next Door" episode? A.K.A. the recipient of the straightest gay kiss ever, courtesy of Kerr Smith on Dawson's Creek? I know I have seen him before!)

Aaanyway. I was not terribly impressed. They were desperate not to be cancelled, and they couldn't have come up with something awesome? I get that Rob was basically trying to repackage the show into something that the CW wanted anyway; I didn't expect it to be a spinoffy spinoff, if that makes any sense. But I expected better!

Regardless, it is a tantalizing glimpse of a LoVe-free future for Veronica, which makes me happy. (Do not get me wrong, new friends. I loved them in the first season, but they don't work for me long-term, and I hated their whole star-crossed dance of destiny.) I approve of Veronica/Snarky Agent! I just wish he was Brendan, obviously.

Speaking of OTPs, did you notice how it TOTALLY jived with my awesome VM/Brick FBI picspam?

Oh my word! I hadn't seen that. You're right though, he should have come up with something that totally blew everyone away. Compared to Season 1 Pilot, it's a bit ho-hum.

And you're right, it is him. Although I always think of him as Parker Abrams who hooked up with Buffy in college (another Whedon connection!)

It could have been so much fun though and I did think how like your crossover picspam it was!

I'm going to have to steal and share with my f-list now!

Yeah, I had to go hunt him down after watching that clip. He is the guy from "The Girl Next Door" aka Ethan from Dawson's aka Parker from Buffy.

I approve of Veronica/Snarky Agent!

I thought Veronica Mars got canceled? and there was a big uproar about it too. Am I totally wrong?

No, no, you're absolutely right. It was cancelled in a really shitty way (the CW wouldn't officially cancel it until way after upfronts because they wanted to avoid backlash; it was completely assy of them.) But they gave the show's producers a couple thousand dollars to film a 10 minute preview of what a pilot for a spinoff about Veronica Mars in the FBI would be like.

ew, that is a really assy thing to do. But it's kind of nice that they let them film a mini-pilot. Although I don't think I could've handled it if my favorite tv show got canceled and there was just a taste of a next season, but no follow through. Although it might be cool if it was kind of like an epilogue. Was it good?

It wasn't that good, but I appreciate it as an epilogue because it nixed the relationship I always hated on the show. It's nice to think of a future for Veronica that doesn't involve her ending up with Logan, which is where most of the fandom seems to be at.

Anyway, I'm not bitter about the cancellation (much). I just wish the CW had seen fit to show the fans and the cast/crew of the show some mofoing courtesy. I feel AWFUL for being as addicted to Gossip Girl as I am. I really wanted to cut the CW out of my life! FAILURE.

Caitie, I'm dying here. That looks fantastic, honestly it does. It's probably not the best, but it's Veronica. I love Veronica. And she's holding a gun. Grawr.

I knoooow! We are one in our pain! I miss Veronica. It just doesn't feel like a real TV season without her.
