Um, No.
You can so tell that we're into the strike-affected episodes. Waaaaay mediocre.

Aside from the general mediocrity, Rufus/Lily continues to push every Gag Me button that I possess. I liked Serena begging her mom not to start something with Rufus because of her relationship with Dan, and I liked that Lily agreed to back off, but in what universe does that mean she has to marry Bart!? Whatever. It's a small world in TV Land, and Serena/Chuck was unexpectedly hilarious. Chuck has clearly found himself a new toy. (I cannot pretend that I'm not sorry to see Chuck/Blair looking like it's over, but it totally cracks me up that the boy has such a short attention span.) I'm so glad that Serena's bogus lack of punishment had less to do with her fabulous Serenaness and more to do with Bart Bass throwing his weight around. (I just don't understand HOW Chuck knew. Or did Serena actually get off because of her fabulous Serenaness, meaning Bart just got the headmistress to drop the matter entirely?)

And as annoying as Vanessa is, I must now love her forever. A grant for students with genital herpes in Chuck's name! LOL! And maybe it's just because I've recently read the first six books, but I sort of loved Nate/Blair tonight. And Nate! Who knew?

But but but! They CANNOT do teenaged pregnancy in the "season finale" of Gossip Girl! Are you freaking kidding me? Babies ruin everything, and everybody hates them. Plus every teen soap in the history of the world weasels out of actually following through. People miscarry or abort or run off to Chino or go off the edges of cliffs in school buses or have boyfriends whose bookies accidentally run them over with cars. I KNOW HOW THIS WORKS. And they cannot make Blair pregnant! Even if she is not pregnant, the very idea that the last episode of Gossip Girl possibly ever will be all about my favorite character on TV having a pregnancy scare is just completely full of suck. It had better not be a fucking cliff hanger. DO NOT MAKE ME DIVORCE YOU ALREADY, GOSSIP GIRL.

I watched it in high definition! So that was kind of cool. Not earth shattering or anything, but it was pretty nifty. But HD = unfortunate lack of TiVo, so I had to watch commercials. Which sucked, obviously. To those of you on my f'list who use TiVo and HD, did you upgrade to a HD TiVo?

But I did enjoy all of the highly amusing OTH promos. Nathan drinking vodka OUT OF THE BOTTLE was funnier than anything on Gossip Girl tonight. And his hair! Hilarious! And is that seriously Kevin Federline? How totally appropriate!

There was a lot happening in this ep I didn't like. Blair/Nate, Rufus/Lily/Bart, which I was liking before, is so odd now. And I agree that just because she can't be with Rufus, doesn't mean she has to marry Bart.
Chuck not checking to see if the footage was on the tape before giving her the money was just dumb.

ugh. I could go on. But I shan't. :)

That being said, I don't want my show to end for the "season" BOOO

Totally agreed! It's hard to believe that he wouldn't make her play the footage for him before he hands over $10,000. But it doesn't surprise me, either. Chuck routinely underestimates people, and he's certainly cocky enough to think that someone like Vanessa wouldn't have the nerve or brains to cross him. And I get the sense that ten grand is just spare change to Chuck.

And, yes, I do not want the show to end either. The writer's strike needs to be OVAH.

I didn't watch the episode, but... think how funny and (potentially) awesome it would be if she kept the baby! Getting a famous decorator for the nursery and dressing it up in Baby Dior and taking it and the nanny to the ivy league with her, and she would make babies so fashionable at school everyone would be getting pregnant and the upper east side would have the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country and, and...

I personally think that would be awesome. But probably, if she is pregnant, there will just be lots of angst and who's-your-daddy issues, so not cool. :(

Ed Westwick really played up the camp in this episode. I will always love Chuck, but I love him even more when he is unabashed camp. That's awesome.

But the pregnancy thing is lame. My mother would probably approve because she always complains that they never talk about condoms on TV. But she doesn't watch Gossip Girl unless we make her.

Ummm, we have an HD TV at home and I think we have an HD TiVo because it is way more "Pimp My Ride" looking than our original TiVo box.
